FAQs

Do you do custom work?

Yes! For inquiries about art pieces, orders, commissions, graphic design work, collaborations, business-related work (i.e. logos, websites, brochures) or social stationery work, please send me an email, and I would be happy to hear what you have in mind and discuss options and pricing.

How can I see more pictures or get more information about a piece of original art?

​Simply send me an email and include which piece you are interested in and what you would like to know.

 

What if the art I ordered arrives but looks different in person?

Many times, the colors are much more vibrant in person than when viewed on a screen or in print. We want you to love the art, so if you have any hesitation or questions about how something may look, send an me an email, and we can discuss, maybe video-chatting about it or sending photos of the piece in different light. All devices are calibrated a little differently, just like people, right? While we take great effort to accurately represent items, ultimately, you assume the risk of these differences.

What is your return policy on original art?

All sales are final unless item is received damaged. We are not responsible for any mishandling or failed delivery by the shipping service, and we are not responsible for any damage incurred or theft after delivery.

How will my original art purchase be packed?

Original art is packed in a box especially designed for shipping fine art. Cool! Larger pieces will be crated and smaller pieces will be packed in a heavy duty cardboard. The art itself will be wrapped in glassine paper and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. If you prefer a different method of packing and shipment, please send me an email to make other arrangements.

How long will it take to receive my original art purchase?

For smaller pieces, we carefully pack the original art and then ship via UPS/FedEx Ground; all of which takes 14 days or so. Larger pieces are custom crated via a fine-art-shipping company, and delivery could take a month or so from date of sale to delivery ... but, it's definitely worth the wait.

What if I want to receive my purchase faster or have it shipped by different means?

If you want to receive it faster than ground or through a different carrier, please send me an email.

For HI, AK and International Shipping

If you are interested in purchasing artwork, and you live in Alaska, Hawaii or outside the United States, please send me an email for purchasing and shipping information.

What if my original art is damaged or gets lost during shipping?

We REALLY hope this does not happen, but if the art you ordered is damaged during shipping, please take the following steps within 7 days of receipt of the item: 1) Take a digital photo of the item showing the damage and a photo of the shipping container it arrived in. Please document everything! 2) Attach those photos in an email to jinni@ideationdesignhouse.com. In the email, please include your order number and a description of the damage. We will take a look ... probably cry a little ... and then address this on a case-by-case basis. You may be asked to file a claim with the shipping company. You will be responsible for shipping costs if a replacement is created. Please remember, this is original art made by hand and heart, so replacements will not be identical.

Again, we would be devastated if art is lost in shipping or stolen, but here are next steps if you find that your package is marked “delivered” by the shipping service’s tracker, but you have not received it: 1) Confirm the shipping address is correct in the shipping tracker and your order. We cannot replace items that are lost due to an incorrect shipping address. 2) Contact the shipping service directly; we cannot address lost or theft-related issues on your behalf. You may be asked to file a claim with the shipping company and/or file a police report for suspected theft. 3) Let me know as well and we can address on a case-by-case basis. You will be responsible for shipping costs if a replacement is created. Please remember, this is original art made by hand and heart, so replacements will not be identical.
